Robinsons to open Shopping Mall in Palawan

GOKONGWEI-LED property developer Robinsons Land Corp. has started building its first shopping mall in the Southern Luzon province of Palawan. Commercial operations at the 31st Robinsons mall in the country will start late this year, Robinsons Land said in a statement on Thursday. The new full-service mall is being built on a 19-hectare lot at the National Highway in Barangay San Manuel, Arlene G. Magtibay, general manager of Robinsons Malls, said in the statement.

“Robinsons Land also plans to develop a residential subdivision and the Puerto Princesa branch of gohotels.ph,” the property firm said.

Last year, Robinsons Land began the construction of its first shopping mall in the Northern Luzon province of Pangasinan as part of its P9-billion capital spending program. Shares in the property developer — whose profit for the fiscal year 2010 that ended in September grew by a tenth to P3.59 billion — closed P0.28 lower at P13.48 apiece on Thursday.
